Queen’s Day in Chennai was an evening of festivities, with vibrant hues of orange, an upbeat mood and a passion for the country, shown by all present. Among the guests were consuls general of several countries, diplomats, chief executives of Indian and Dutch companies, vice chancellors, deans and senior representatives of educational institutions, education representatives of several countries (USA, Germany, Singapore and Australia, amongst others) and last and most important, the Dutch alumni. They looked forward to this day with great enthusiasm. With memories of their student days flowing back, they were carried back into a world of their own, and the atmosphere was filled with youth and joy. Holland Alumni network With every Queen’s Day in Chennai, the alumni network seems to be growing stronger and the bonding is evident. The Holland Alumni network India (Chennai chapter) also elected their president and secretary to help coordinate the activities and events in the region on this joyous day.
Highlight Pre-departure Briefings 2010
It's time again for the Nuffic Neso desk pre-departure briefings. This year the sessions will be held in 6 cities. The informative meeting will help Indian students prepare themselves for the Netherlands. Tips on finding your way around the new surroundings, important procedures to follow in the first week, introduction to the Dutch way of living and an oppurtunity to meet other Indian students leaving for the Netherlands.

Highlight Study in Holland quiz
Neso desk India in collaboration with Shiksha, a leading educational portal of India had conducted a Holland Quiz for students aspiring to go abroad for higher education, in March 2010. Students from all over India took this interesting quiz and there was an overwhelming response. Through an elimination process, 61 students were chosen from a select group of students and all the winners were awarded attractive Study in Holland branded T’shirts.
