Scholarship for Excellent Indian Engineering Students

The TU Delft, Faculty of Applied Sciences is offering a scholarship for an outstanding Indian applicant covering all tuition fees, worth approximately €25,000 for a 2-year MSc programme (2012-2014). Six Indian Students were awarded this scholarship for the 2011-2013 programme.

Faculty of Applied Sciences

The Faculty of Applied Sciences is the largest faculty of TU Delft and is at the frontier of contemporary engineering science. The researchers of the Faculty are active in a range of fields, including nanotechnology, quantum transport, robotics, biotechnology, molecular engineering, energy-efficient industrial processing, nuclear science, sustainable energy technologies, optics and imaging.  Much of the research being carried out at the Faculty is interdisciplinary.

Faculty of Applied Sciences MSc programmes :

TU Delft’s 2-year MSc programmes are conducted fully in English and include coursework, an internship, and a research thesis.

This scholarship is open to all excellent Indian applicants for the following MSc programmes:

1. MSc Applied Physics : Tracks - BioNanoScience; Imaging Science & Technology; Multi-Scale Physics; Quantum NanoScience; Radiation, Radionuclides & Reactors.

2. MSc Chemical Engineering : Tracks- Molecular Engineering, Process Engineering, Nuclear Science & Engineering.

3. MSc Life Science & Technology (Department of Biotechnology) : Tracks - Biochemical Engineering, Biocatalysis, Cell Factory.

4. MSc Science Education and Communication : Tracks - Science Communication.

5. MSc Sustainable Energy Technology : Research areas: wind energy, solar energy, energy from biomass, hydrogen storage, electrical power engineering, energy & society.

Requirements for scholarship applicants

  • Acceptance to one of the faculty's MSc programmes 
  • Average marks of 85% or higher.
  • English proficiency minimum:IELTS (academic) overall band score of 7.0 or TOEFL iBT score of 100

How to apply:
There is no separate application to be considered for this scholarship. All excellent Indian students meeting the criteria above and admitted to one of the Faculty of Applied Sciences 2011-20113 MSc programmes will be considered based on their application materials, including relevant research experience. The faculty will contact scholarship candidates directly for interviews.
